Valve has released a new update for Team Fortress 2 today which addresses several bugs stemming from the recent pyro update. Simply restart your Steam Client and the changes will take effect.

The Pyro Update for Team Fortress 2, which we have been talking about all week, has been released today. As always, simply restart your steam client and the changes will take effect.
In anticipation of the new Pyro Update this week for Team Fortress 2, Valve has placed the update website online for everyone to checkout. The newly launched website features information on the two new maps to be released, the unlockable weapons for the pyro, and the long list of achievements that will now be available for pyro players. All of these features will be released later this week in the update. The two new maps that will be featured are CP_Fastlane and CP_Turbine. Both maps may be familiar to you, as they were developed by third party players and have been circling the internet for quite sometime. None the less, their addition to the official map list will surely increase their popularity.  On top of the new maps, players who choose the pyro class will also be able to unlock several new weapons in the game. They include a new flaregun, backburner flame thrower, and axtinguisher attack axe. There will also be a slew of new achievements, all of which can be seen on the new Pyro Update Website. 
As promised, the Valve Team has released their newest installment in the "Meet The Team" short film series. Meet The Sniper is now available for download on the Steam Powered Website, and is definitely worth the watch. 
Valve has announced a set of new upcoming releases for Team Fortress 2 this week. The first release will come later today, when the team releases the latest installment in their "Meet the Team" short films, Meet The Sniper. The video will be posted on the Steam Powered Website, and we will be sure to post a link once its available. Then, later this week on Thursday, the team will be releasing a major Team Fortress 2 update that will include two user-created maps, which will "highlight the great work being done in the community". The main focal point of the update, however, will most certainly be the Pyro Update, which will be made available and contains three unlockable new weapons for the Pyro plus 35 new achievements. Finally, to top it all off, Valve has announced that this weekend will also be a Team Fortress 2 free weekend. So if you have a friend you are trying to convince to go pick-up the title, or if for some reason you still haven't gotten around to getting it yourself, you can take the full game for a spin - new pyro achievements and maps included. The folks over at Fortcast, a Team Fortress 2 inspired podcast, have released their first episode this week, fittingly named Episode 1. The update features patches for almost every aspect of the game, including fixes for existing maps, the new medic achievement system, and most importantly the release of GoldRush. The new map features the "Payload" game play style, something previously not available in Team Fortress 2. A new Team Fortress 2 introductory video has been released on Steam, this one highlighting the Scout class. It was released as a promotional bit for the Team Fortress 2 individual game release, which ironically happened a few weeks ago. None the less, like all of the others this video is pretty entertaining, so if you have some extra time be sure to check it out. Fresh on the heels of new information about the next Team Fortress 2 update, today we got a confirmed release date for the new content. According to Shacknews, the new update has been scheduled for release during the week April 20th, and will include the anticipated map Goldrush, the new Medic achievements and unlocks, and Meet the Scout. This update is for PC Steam clients, and no details on a console release have been announced.
As Team Fortress 2 enthusiasts, we are always wondering what new plans and features the developers have in store for us next. Well this week IGN got the chance to sit down with Valve's Robin Walker and Erik Johnson. The interview is a bit old, conducted in mid-February (not my fault I swear), so some of the information is out of date. The team over at Fortress Forever, the mod which recreates the experience of Team Fortress Classic in the Source engine, has released a major update, version 2.0. The update addresses everything from game play tweaks to bug fixes and revamped maps. You can pick up the latest version at the Official Fortress Forever Website, or check out some great screenshots and the change logs below.  
After listening to user feedback, Steam will soon be adding a Server Tag feature to your Steam Browser. The tags will allow users to be able to see what server cvars, like deathmatch or friendly fire, have been changed by the server admin by a single glance. There is no estimated release date for the new feature, but if they are already testing, it shouldn't be too much longer. Apparently Team Fortress 2 will be receiving a major update tomorrow, changing everything from specific map details to releasing a new map titled "Badlands". The update, which is stated to be the largest since its release last year, is to be released tomorrow afternoon at 2 PM EST. The update will be available for all Team Fortress 2 PC players, and can be retrieved by simply restarting your Steam Client.

While the major release for Team Fortress 2 may have come and gone, don't think for a second the developers aren't hard at work thinking up new ways to annihilate our enemies. In fact, a new update is already in the works that will focus on tweaking the Soldier, Demoman, Pyro, and the Engineer classes. According to an email response to Fortress fans, we can expect to see some great new changes and tweaks that should breathe more new life into the game.
The highly anticipated Team Fortress 2 update was released by Valve this evening. The update features loads of new features including the new capture the flag map CTF_Well. As always simply restart your Steam client for the updates to take effect.
Valve announced yesterday that they have made the beta version of the SDK available for Orange Box modders (Episode 2, TF2, Portal). You can launch the SDK by adding -beta srcsdk0122 to your command line when you start Steam. For more information, head on over to the Valve developer wiki.
As early as tomorrow, January 24th, PC gamers may be seeing an official CTF version of the Well map for Team Fortress 2. PC Gamer reports: So that bumps the upcoming number of official maps up to three so far, who knows what else Valve has up their sleeves.
Originally posted here, there are some more exciting things coming for TF2. The medic will be getting two new weapons accessed via a new Loadout menu. One weapon will be the Overhealer which will be capable of doubling a friendly target's health and will be unlocked by acheiving half of the new medic achievements. The second weapon will be another healing weapon but more information is not available. There will be a new map called Goldrush and will feature a new escort gameplay mode where one team must escort a mining cart across the map. The more blue players surrounding the cart, the faster it goes, but any nearby red players will cause the cart to stop. Shacknews reports that the new gameplay mode and medic abilities will be available some time within the next month, with Badlands and Goldrush following shortly after. Valve has not said whether these features will be available on console versions of TF2.
Team Fortress 2 has received two updates in the last two days. The first one adding some nice features to both servers and clients, and the second one seeming to fix a couple things broke by the first update.

If on, the medigun beam will stay attached to the current target without the need to hold down the fire button * Added new option for the sniper rifle to the Multiplayer->Advanced dialog. According to this post, it seems as though Valve's Robin Walker has spilled the beans on some upcoming changes to the Pyro and Soldier classes in TF2!
Get ready for some big changes to the Team Fortress 2 game you have come to know and love. Valve's Robin Walker has verified that there will be 2 new maps released for the PC version in the next 2 months, emphasizing more on a new arena and vertical game play. As for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions, it remains unclear whether the new updates will make it to these platforms. Turtle Rock Studios, creators of Counter-Strike: Source, Condition Zero, and the upcoming and highly anticipated title Left 4 Dead, has been acquired by Valve. Here is there official press release statement. "Half Life developer Valve has announced that it has acquired Orange County-based developer Turtle Rock Studios, currently working on the forthcoming Source-engine multiplayer zombie-slaying action title Left 4 Dead.
Valve president Gabe Newell called the acquisition "an easy decision" based on the long-standing relationship between the two. Turtle Rock previously has collaborated with Valve on a number of Counter-Strike projects, including the game's Xbox port.
Newell also said that the new internal studio would give Valve "a base from which to expand our development activities in the Los Angeles area."
Said Turtle Rock founder Michael Booth, "Valve has had great success bringing in projects and teams such as Team Fortress and Portal. As I spent time working and talking with the creators of those products over the past several years, it became clear that this was the right next step for myself, my colleagues at Turtle Rock, our customers, and our products. A new Team Fortress 2 update has been released by the Valve Development team this evening. The update fixes several glitches and bugs, including a revamp of the map Well, but most importantly aims to improve the ability for players to filter custom content. Now, users will have the option of choosing what custom content they download from the servers. As always you can get the latest version of Team Fortress 2 by simply restarting your Steam Client.
Team Fortress Portal, a German Team Fortress 2 fan site, has claimed to have found all 36 achievements for the medic, not yet revealed by Steam. The image outlines all of the different achievements medics will soon be able to earn, and as shown, many require the effective use of team play and game experience. - Fixed backburner's flame critical hits not being recalculated after collision. This meant that it would check if the target was looking away once and after that the flame could score a critical hit again even if the orientation changed
- Added back some damage falloff to the Pyro's flamethrower. Not nearly as extreme as it was before the Pyro class pack
- Fixed bug that caused Demomen to take a small amount of extra damage from their own grenades and fly farther using them
- Fixed spy getting stuck in players after removing his disguise
- Fixed spy stabbing and being able to go invisible instantly
