The Best Team Fortress 2 Community Videos

Where would Team Fortress 2 be without its dedicated community? Since its release several years ago, the title has managed to amass a devoted and creative following of fans who demonstrate their love of Team Fortress 2 well beyond the online battlefields of Well and 2Fort. One aspect we have found to be particularly entertaining is the creation of third party videos. While the official “Meet The Player” series gained quite a bit of attention during development, amateur YouTube users have also demonstrated their creative qualities by compiling a massive library of online videos paying tribute to their favorite first person shooter. Now, after hours of tireless searching, our staff has created a list of our top 5 favorite Team Fortress 2 community videos ever. Enjoy the shows!


Our first video isn't focused around video editing capability, but we picked it just because it shows how fun some of the third-party maps for Team Fortress 2 can be. The map is Ball_Soccer V2, although some game play aspects have been altered in the video for entertainment reasons. Still, it is by far one of the most fun maps you can play and one of the best game play videos we have seen circling YouTube.




Our next video comes from the popular "Hey Ash" series, which is often posted on the Destructoid Blog. In this special Team Fortress 2 edition, Ash uses various characters skills to annoy her brother (husband?). Either way, it brings Team Fortress 2 to life literally and shows us just how bad a wrench to the head from an Engie really hurts.




This video could double up as an anti-doping advertisement for baseball. In the Syringe Mystery, some flash cartoonists get pretty creative and try to hint what might actually be in the Medic's needles. If you like this video, the creators have several other TF2 cartoons that are definitely worth checking out.




Our second to last video gets its inspiration from one of the most memorable scenes of Pulp Fiction. The creators did an amazing job with the voices and getting the characters to portray the movie, even Vincent Vega is smoking a cigarette in the back in the form of a spy. Our hats go off to Bonesaw Productions for this one - Tarantino couldn't have done it better...




Our number one video embodies everything we love about Team Fortress: lots of gore and great sound effects. The creators took the classic World War II movie Saving Private Ryan and added an entirely new soundtrack courtesy of the Team Fortress 2 team. You can tell this took quite a while to create, and the finished product is well worth the work.
